Charity answered a Charleston model casting I had posted. Charity first thought about modeling after winning a couple of pageants in Tennessee. After moving to Charleston, she was looking for a part-time job. She had worked some retail and server positions in Charleston and North Charleston but wanted something fun and different. We met up over coffee and reviewed one of my art books of nude photography. Our first shoot started as I usually do: warming up with some outfits. No matter how comfortable a model is with nudity, this is a great way to ease into it.
Charity had some small tattoos and other marks that were covered with makeup before the shoot. I provided a special makeup called Dermablend which is ideal for photo shoots.
She also wanted more modeling experience and trainings. From that initial Charleston model casting, we ended up doing several shoots in my studio and various locations in coastal South Carolina. We worked around Charleston, but also up near Georgetown. Some of the outdoor shoots involved nature, while others had more of an industrial look. We found some disused train cars for one session. She said that modeling nude for art photography was both a fun and exciting way to earn money.
